"Venus Split On Prada"
This new drawing on Prada shopping bag (part of the "OnLuxBag" series) took almost 3 weeks. It's a photo realistic ballpoint drawing of a version of the famous Venus painting, but as a marble statue. The head has been split, with half over the PRADA logo.
Video: See a short video of it being made on YouTube here.
The meaning is that her mind is split on the luxury branding and designer brands 'thing'. She appreciates well designed, good quality products but at the same time disapproves of the egocentric and narcissistic attitudes that are associated with it.

Acrylic paint pen was used for the full black parts which increases contrast and boldness. Highlight neon acrylic pant used on the outline of the statue split.

At the end a varnish type ink & paint fixative aerosol was applied in multiple layers to protect the artwork. Also framed in UV protective Art Glass.
Size: 50 x 52cm (including frame)

The original artwork recently sold at an exhibition at AdLib Gallery but a limited edition print release (at the most affordable price point yet) is set for May.
